The Preliminary Examination for 13,735 Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) vacancies under the State Bank of India (SBI) is scheduled for February 2025. Candidates who submitted their online applications for the SBI Clerk Recruitment via the official IBPS web portal between 17th December 2024 and 7th January 2025 are eligible to participate in the Phase I Preliminary Examination. Selection Process for SBI Clerk

The selection process for the SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025 is comprehensive, ensuring that candidates are evaluated thoroughly across multiple stages. The process includes a Preliminary Examination, a Main Examination, and a Local Language Proficiency Test. Below is a detailed explanation of each phase:

1. Preliminary Examination (Phase I)

The Preliminary Examination is an online test designed to shortlist candidates for the Main Examination.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the Main Examination based on their aggregate marks in the Preliminary Exam, approximately 10 times the number of vacancies in each category.

2. Main Examination (Phase II)

The Main Examination is the second stage of the selection process, consisting of multiple sections designed to assess a candidate’s overall abilities.

Negative Marking: A 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying aggregate marks as decided by the Bank. However, there are no minimum qualifying marks for individual sections.

3. Local Language Proficiency Test

Candidates who qualify for selection and provide proof (10th or 12th standard mark sheet) of having studied the specified local language will not need to take this test.

For others, a Local Language Test will be conducted to assess proficiency in the regional language of the State/UT they are applying for. This test is qualifying in nature, and failure to clear it will result in disqualification.

Final Selection

  • The Preliminary Examination is qualifying in nature, and its marks will not be considered for the final merit list.
  • The final merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Main Examination.
  • Provisional selection will depend on document verification and qualifying in the Local Language Test (where applicable).

Waitlist: A state-wise and category-wise waitlist of up to 50% of vacancies will be maintained for one year.

Negative Marking: Applicable in both Preliminary and Main Examinations.

Tie-Breaking Criteria: In case of a tie, candidates older in age will be given preference.

Self-Declaration form is for persons with special abilities. They will required to submit the form at the end of the exam. They will also be required to submit at the time of joining the Bank that he/she is entitled to the benefits admissible to ExServicemen in terms of Govt. of India rules.

SBI Admit Card: Where to Find Registration Number and Password

The registration number and password are generated at the time of registration and displayed on the screen. These were also sent to the candidate’s email by way of auto-generated email acknowledgement. Candidates can check their email box to know their registration number and password.

Where can I find the Transaction/Reference ID? You will see the Transaction/Reference ID on the confirmation screen of your bank account/payment app or on your bank statement after you have completed the IMPS/NEFT/RTGS Transaction. Sometimes you may only see it in the bank statement.
